Pilgrimage to Cambodia

Happy holidays! I recently returned from traveling to Cambodia and the Philippines earlier this month. It has always been a dream of mine to pay my respects to the largest temple in the world located in the holy city of Angkor, Cambodia. Since I was in the neighborhood, I thought I would also visit the motherland...the Philippines where I visited my family who I had not seen since 1981.

I kept a journal while in Southeast Asia and am currently working on transferring my hand-written notes online on tumblr.

Sending you wishes of good health, much love, and peace in the new year!

P.S. I am still day-dreaming of Cambodia!

Hi! Thanks for visiting my blog.
Of course you can come and work here. There are a lot of foreign workers in the different sectors here and there are also tourists who stayed and are now working as language teachers in most schools in Phnom Penh. However, the pay is very low by American standards and there are no benefits. It is also possible to work in NGOs. You can have a look at www.bongthom.com for some job opps available. There are also some people who come here as volunteers for NGOs and start building networks within the NGO community. After their volunteer stints, they stayed on and find employment in NGOs here. I hope this information is useful to you. I think with your qualification, you won't have difficulty in getting a job here :)
Happy New Year to you!
